During the past decade the Great Rivers has seen several churches started by local groups of Christians in Areas I and V. The Great Rivers through staff and ABCD calls have come alongside the pastoral and lay leadership to help their new churches move from missional to fully affiliated church status.
There is a need for more churches. Our experience has shown that money is not what gets a new church planted and growing. It helps fund start-up costs and some needed equipment; but, it is leadership characterized by a passionate God-centered spirit and gift of an entrepenurial creativeness that helps overcome the barriers.
