Inserting Video into Your Web Page(s)
Insertion can be done in two ways:
1. Embed
This does not really make the video part of the web page it is embedded in. It puts all the code necessary - including the "behind the scenes" links and settings - to "trigger" the video to play on the web user's computer.
Embedding the video also gives the option of putting a "skin" (think "frame") on the web page at the place of your choice within your web page design.
Study your web editing program's instructions as to how to embed a video. (Look up video, video parameters)
2. Link
Putting a link to a video or to an mp3 audio file is just like making any other link.
Give the link a good title/name. For example, do better than "click here." If the video is a review of a recent mission trip to Nicaragua, type "Nicaragua Mission Trip 2011" then apply the link.
Check to make sure the link works - plays the video - once the web page it is on is uploaded to the web. Use the browser on a computer...
For the browser to play the video after the user clicks on the link, the browser and the computer its on must be able to play that format. So...make sure that you have chosen a popular format like Quicktime or Windows Media.
